Potty training will have to stop for a week or 2.I've been doing it with my 3 year old for 2 weeks but he shows no interest in the potty I ask him to go he says no.His pants are constantly wet and I'm forever mopping up pee!To top it all off I'm 8 weeks pregnant and in the throes of morning (all day) sickness! I want him dry for nursery in Jan but I also want my sanity back sorry for the rant I needed to get it off my chest.

If he doesn't get it then of course you should stop. He's got three months until January and a lot can change in that time.

Give yourself and him a break.

Tanks for that.I feel perhaps I should keep going and perhaps it will click but he is so un-cooperative that it's like banging my head against a brick wall.Perhaps taking the pressure off for a bit may help.I just feel like we'll never get there.

When he's ready it will click, and it won't take weeks to do it either. It's probably not that he's uncooperative, more that he doesn't "get" it yet - maybe he doesn't yet recognise the sensation of needing a wee.

Try again in a couple of months, you may find everything's different then.

Good decision I would do the same especially if I was poorly. Like the others have said, don't stress about it, he doesn't sound ready yet. I also wouldn't worry about starting nursery and not being dry. If it is a good nursery they will help you with the potty training if he needs it. Good luck with the morning sickness hope it gets better soon.

If he is showing no interest in the poty then maybe it would be easier to put it off for a couple of weeks, but i would still leave a potty around so that he knows its still there, if he wants to use it. Hope morning sickness easies for u.

I'm still asking him to sit on potty before his morning wash and his bath and before we go out etc and he obliges and always wees but the problem is when I put him in big boy pants.I ask him to go on potty every half hour and I get a big no but if I leave him to his own devices he just wets.
