Just been speaking to my sil about her 17yr son whose 16yr girlfriend is due to have their 1st baby anytime now.
They have only just told family (don't see them really). They are living in his girlfriends bedroom at her parents house and have no plans to get their own place as they can't afford it. But then in the same breath sil says they have spent £200 for a 3d scan.
Can't believe that teenage parents will spend £200 on a private scan when they have nowhere to live. they've had to beg everything for the baby off friends but have cash to splurge on a 3d scan.
At first I thought perhaps they're parents had paid for it but no, he saved up his jobseekers allownace for it!!!

At least it is to do with their baby.

Perhaps some spending tips from the family may be useful - as there's so much stuff you just don't need.

They sound as thgough they're looking forward to having their lo.

well, thats the prob he's not interested really at all. even his mum says he's only still around because of pressure from everyone else.
he's still going off into town virtually every night, spending more money he hasn't got.
its just so infuriating when thingss like thiss happen. Perhapss if he was a more mature 17 yr old, I know that no 17yr is mature but he's so childish!
I just now that 6 months down the line you won't see him for dust

Blimey - that would buy enough cloth nappies, wraps etc for the first couple of years at least. . But then I am a wierd person who doesnt really hold with routine let alone private scanning
