awkward as i say "what do you want for your dinner" (example) and expect dd to say "i would like"..although she actually does, but i hate it when i hear children say " I WANT....

I don't mind 'Please can I have...', or 'Can I have X,Y,Z please..'

I prefer 'Please may I have..'

I either ignore or tell them off quick sharp any request without a 'please' and 'thankyou' in it.

They also have to politely ask to leave the table too.

My dd knows not to say "I want... "as all she gets is me ignoring her lol...I will accept "Please may I have.. " or "Mummy could I have ..."
My Ds is very good he always says his please and thank you's ,bless him and hes not quite 3 yet
