Jeans that fit reusables HELP!

I have a got a 7mth old DD who wear reusables, however I am struggling to find a retailer that makes comfy jeans that go over them. Mothercare and Sainbury's TU brand are the best I've find but the rest are just too snug a fit and she grows out of them in no time.... sigh.... Anyone else found this?

you usually have to buy a size bigger and turn up the cuffs!

some of the next bottoms - kind of boot leg tracksuit bottoms ( but v nice) are good for cloth, have a good stretch in them

also dungarees
and little skirts with tights now that it's getting colder
also jojo bottoms are quite generous for clothies

tescos. I do use reuseables but I bought the boys some trousers in the sale recently are they are so baggy!

i found asda fairly roomy in bottom but ive only tried babygrows and pjs.for trousers i buy next size up and have trendy fold ups!

Agree - dungarees, size bigger and turn up the cuffs, or look at one of the specialist ranges (although those tend not to include jeans, for some reason).

Peanutgant · 11/10/2006 15:30

Supermarkets do seem to cut generously, Tescos are HUGE! Agree with wearing skirts instead.. or leggings.... will have to take a trip to the supermarkets I think.

Really recommend dungarees, avoid Next trousers they are very slim.

I got some for ds in the sale at H&M which were great. I don't know about others but I found ds slimmed down a bit after 12mo once he started walking, and trousers started to fit a bit better, even with his cloth bum!

Flamebat · 11/10/2006 17:40

H&M are great for boys... not too sure about girls.

Dungarees causes crawling problems because they unpopper, and girly ones are often embroidered on the bottom which makes folding up harder

Peanutgant · 12/10/2006 19:02

Thanks everybody for the feedback, looks like I will be going to ASDA and Tescos this weekend! Love H&M so might have a look there too.

Peanutgant - just spotted this.

Really really recommend Bright Bots jeans. Twinkleontheweb.co.uk do them and they are great - can't fault them - and they have cute floral embroidery on them.

Have a look here .

THey do leggings, trousers and tights that all fit beautifully over reusables, but unlike other certain specialist makes, they don't cast a bomb! Prices start at £5.95 for leggings!

Boden are good plus some Hennes. Ladybird at Woolies can sometimes be good too although I've only ever bought DS clothes from there - not keen on the girls' clothes.
