Help pooing in the bath (no not me)

DD was 3 last Sunday and have been trying to get her potty trained for ages now. We have had little success until yesterday when she realised she needed to go, went to the potty and peed all off her won back. She also must have a badder of steel as she can go ages without going and when I have had to put a nappy on her to go out she has gone once in that then saves it up for her bath at night.
That is not the only thing she saves. The past 2 nights she has pooed in the bath this is something she has done before on previous attempts to potty train, DP bathed her tonight ans she actually got herself into the same squat she uses when in a nappy but he never go her out in time to get her on the loo.
I am at a loss as to what to do, usually she is in a nappy during the day for a short trip out but she is saving it for her bath time.
Any tips anyone???

Muchos bribery to get her to do it on the potty. I had weeks of similar behaviour from dd. Once she did one wee on the potty it happened really quickly. Poos took a bit longer and we did indulge her in a nappy for a week or so cos she got really upset. Sweeties handed over in stages while waiting for the poo to come then massive cheering did the trick though.

Stay in for a few days until she cracks in at home and go cold turkey on npas during the day, I really think it just encourages them to save it up (from experience emoticon required here!)

The problem I have with going cold turkey is that we have so much going on right now that we end up having to go out for one reason or another. Last time I tried cold turkey it was 10 days of being here driving each other nuts before I gave in and put a nappy back on because every day we were back at square one but by teatime she was great again going in the potty no acciddents.
I have a Wednesday and Friday for the next couple of weeks where I have nothing going on so I might opt for friday as DP will be at home over the weekend and just go for it. It has just been such a struggle to get this far she has been resisting all the way.

go nappyless even if out, one open under child in the carseat etc will do the trick but if she has control it will prob be ok.

do you bribe and cheer a lot? we also do naked bum in house so she can go if she wants.

watch out for chill sections in supermarket - they task even iron clad bladders.

Thanks for your tips I am not so worried about accidents if we are out and most of the time we are at a toddler group or something that it would be no big deal the problem I really have is a creche she goes to twice a week for the next 2-3 weeks while I have a couple of appointments.
I do not generally put her to creche or whatever but I am wary of sending her so soon in pants.
Up until friday/today although she can hold it in she has had no real control when it comes to letting it out, she was not really aware of what it felt like to need to go until she could not hold on anymore and went.
Today has been a fantastic day, not one accident at all, she had a nappy on when we went out and it was damp but apart from that every wee and even a poo (wooohooo) went in the potty so it does seem as if it has literally happened on it's own overnight.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow eh?
