Think this has been answered before but if I add vinegar to de-pong the nappies how much do I use. A tablespoon, a bottle, a bucket?

A cup?

chipmonkey · 05/10/2006 23:20

a good slug of it.

After trial and error I have found that a quarter cup with 7 drops of tea tree oil is just right!

So.... do you put this in the fabric conditioner slot every time or just when nappies are pongy?

cryptmonkey · 09/10/2006 21:43

It only occurred to me to do it when they got very pongy and my Mum complained!

jojo76 · 11/10/2006 21:46

hmm, my ds's nappies really stank of wee! I was really annoyed because i was using 2 tabs plus napisan in wash. then realised that i was using far too mych detergent so now i use one tab, no napisan and white vinegar filled up in the fabric conditioner compartment. It worked brilliantly....but they have started to smell agian, not as bad, but its creeping in again, might be coz ive been tumble drying rather than line drying? what do you think, any suggestions? should i try the teatree??

cryptmonkey · 11/10/2006 23:04

Definitely try the teatree! I find it better than vinegar on its own. Lovely smell too!
