Sorry I know this isn't the right place but the "product" sections seems to dead??

New house has a low window in DS room and I need some kind of safety device?

Had a brief Google and all I can find it window locks... What I need is actually some kind of barrier?

Any ideas?

TIA

Is it double glazed? If so then I would think a lock would be sufficient, it's really hard to break a double glazed window.

A friend of mine has a perspex barrier across the lower third of her windows.

The only thing I can think is a fireguard?

Safety advice for what exactly? To stop it being opened to far (you need a restrictor) or to stop him leaning on the glass?

They are old sash windows and I need to make sure that DS can't get at them. Open them / lean on them as bedroom is 80ft up!

I have the image of basically a few wooden slats across the lower part of window?

Am I making this up?

Sure I've seen something like this before.

I've seen this done in flats near us where they have big old sash windows.

We've got sash windows and have restrictors to stop them being opened more than a few inches.

Might be worth ringing a sash window company for ideas?
