Cotton wool and water, flannel, wetwipe. Whatever's to hand really.

Only1scoop · 09/10/2014 21:42

Cotton wool and some water

purplemurple1 · 09/10/2014 21:44

Was going to say I pin him down and do it quickly, but I think your baby is younger, in which case flannel and water normally, wet wipes if I'm mid nappy change.

DearGirl · 09/10/2014 21:46

With a wipe or flannel

angelopal · 10/10/2014 10:16

Wipe after meals. Muslin after milk or non food related. Sponge and water in the bath.

littlemslazybones · 10/10/2014 10:20

DS1, cooled boiled water and cotton wool
ds2, water and muslin/ sponge
ds3, a quick flannel round
if I had a 4th they might just get a spit and polish.

splendide · 10/10/2014 12:49

Wire brush and Dettol.

StepDoor · 10/10/2014 12:50

Water or wipes.

UngratefulMoo · 11/10/2014 20:39

Warm flannel. She hates wet wipes and screams her head off.

ByTheWishingWell · 11/10/2014 20:42

Cooled boiled water and cotton wool until she was about 9 months old, then I relaxed a little bit and moved onto sensitive wet wipes. PFB, obviously Blush

Hemlock2013 · 11/10/2014 20:45

Is washable face wipe a new name for flannel?? Grin

Artandco · 11/10/2014 21:12

Hemlock - erm no. We have washable wipes ie for nappies, but also use on face now no nappies. A flannel is thick and for in the bath for an all over wash.

Hemlock2013 · 11/10/2014 21:18

Ahh modern invention... I'm easily confused!! X

Artandco · 11/10/2014 21:27

I don't think a washable wipe is a modern invention... What do you think people used before erm disposable ones?

bonzo77 · 11/10/2014 21:34

Whatever I have handy. Wipes, bib, muslin. In the bath i lather up some bath stuff and rub their faces like I'd do my hands.

TwoLittleTerrors · 11/10/2014 21:41

I use washable wipes too. DD1 had sensitive skin as a newborn and I spent a lot of time cursing the uselessness of cotton wool for wiping bums. Only discovered washable wipes when DD1 was much older. One of the things I bought for DD2s arrival was a set of washable wipes. (I got them from cheeky wipes). I have a set of white cotton ones for bums, and another red microfiber ones for face. I use them on both DDs. (Obviously only the face one on DD1 as she is 3.5yo).

TwoLittleTerrors · 11/10/2014 21:42

And this is from someone using disposable nappies.

SweetPeaPods · 12/10/2014 05:38

Ds1 toddler- flannel or baby wipe. Cotton wool if I have it out (if he has nappy rash)
Ds2 baby - cotton wool and water.

eurochick · 12/10/2014 05:59

Cotton wool and water. Not cooled boiled, straight from the tap. After all, she has baths and could go swimming at this age (12 weeks).

mrsmugoo · 12/10/2014 09:13

Microfibre cheeky wipes for hands and face.
