10 minutes of fun.

I've been trying to spend 5-10 minutes a day doing something fun with my kids that makes us laugh together. I find it's a particularly good thing to do when there is some sibling rivalry brewing. They are 11 & 8.

So far, we've played hide n seek, ran about in the rain with no coats, had a star jump/press up etc challenge, drew round ourselves on wallpaper, sang daft songs, hopping race, snail race, made potions and done yoga positions (badly) to name a few. However I'm running out of ideas. I don't do it everyday and it's a bit random and unplanned, which is why it works.

So, does anyone else have any suggestions of other things I can do? Ideally they need to be able to be done at the drop of a hat, with almost no preparation.

Many thanks in advance.

Bike ride
A game of senses where you blind fold them and they have to feel/taste/smell random items to guess what it is, just pick objects from around the house
Game of cards
Game of follow the leader
Game of Simon says
Game of charades
Game of hot or cold ( hiding objects inside or outside and yelling hot or cold when get close)

Hope some may help you! I have a baby so not there yet but tried to remember things I enjoyed with siblings and parents

Apple bobbing
Mad libs (google it - requires some preparation but they keep and are different each time)
3D Twister (you'll need to write down some body parts eg left ankle, right ear) then you can pull them out and they attempt them till a) they can't and fall over or b) they just fall over from giggling
Look up random words in foreign language dictionary (ours find German for weed killer hilarious). Esp with Dad's best OTT accent.

Consequences, and the drawing equivalent

Thanks so much for all of these great ideas, I will try them all out and report back.

We are currently a little obsessed with the 7 app (7 mins of fast exercise), but I know that will wear off quickly.
