Post-natal work out and motivation

How do you find the time and motivation to do daily workouts, especially after long days with small kids?

I'm doing post natal DVDs at the minute to help rebuild my core which got demolished from three big babies in 3.5years..

I find myself lacking motivation as I'm not seeing effects really. Either that or the long days get to me and if rather go to ed to restore energy before breastfeeding baby boy in the night.

You sound like you're giving yourself a hard time, littleray. I am astounded you are even managing to fit in exercise dvds with three children so young. Good for you.
I have to say, I mainly walked at the beginning to lose the baby weight. I tried not to use the car where I could and pushing the double buggy was quite a workout.
Is there a class you could go to even just once a week? I do circuit training now quite close to home. It's just once a week but if I don't go, I miss out on training that week altogether. It gets me out and I don't know the people that well but we chat about stuff other than kids so it's refreshing.
In addition, I'm now doing the 5:2 or Fast Diet which I find really really effective. I have lost 3kg since September.
Good luck!

My postnatal exercise routine is limited to doing core exercises in the shower and when brushing my teeth. The weight is going away on its own without special effort though, although not quickly!

I'd second a class out of home if you can manage it I think it helps to have a certain day and time. I go to classes 4 times a week in the evening no matter how tired I am, some people have said how do I have time but it's only 3 hours a week in total 1 x30 2 x 45 and 1 x 60 min class when you think that way you should be able to have 3 hours out of the whole week to yourself I think.

I enjoy working out though so it makes it easy for me to want to go if you don't enjoy what your doing it makes it so much harder find something you love to do. I also remind myself how good it is for DS to have healthy parents and it's great for kids to know about fitness DS has been to yoga and zumba with me (some instructors don't mind kids). Think of your daily work out being all the running around with kids and top up with actual work outs.
