Soft play

DD went to a music group every week that she loved, so we booked them for her 2nd Birthday. There were about 12 children & she had a lovely day. I made cup cakes, put out grapes, bread sticks, cucumber & carrot sticks & gave them all fish fingers & chips in little paper cones I got online!

Some friends hired a local church hall, had a company that delivers a little bouncy castle, tunnels, soft mats, a ball pool etc, then made a nibbly lunch for everyone. That was really nice, relaxed but fun.

I should have mentioned that I did soft play plus a baby sensory teacher last year! Which music class?

Most mums I know did soft play for the first 4 birthdays. Kids love them and they eventually get to an age where you can sit and watch them chat rather than having to crawl round with them.

That's true!

We booked the lady from the local music group that my ds enjoys too. It was exciting for him that the group her loves was all about him and it was quite a reasonable price (since it was good promotion for her)

When dd was 2 we had some very simple games, decorated biscuits and had generally running around time.

I booked the village hall and chucked in all our big toys (and borrowed some from friends and family). Then I did a party tea. Was fine and not too hard.
