"He doesn't want to speak my language", "She's embarrassed to speak our family language when she's outside with other children", "Now that she's a teenager I just can't make her read in our native language at all", "I've heard about one parent - one language, but then how do I speak with my husband when we are all at the kitchen table?", “Is it true that bilingualism causes dyslexia?” - these questions are very common among parents raising bilingual and multilingual children.
To address these issues, we have invited five leading experts who will share their insights, ideas, tips and tricks during a panel discussion:

• Jean Marc Dewaele – professor of applied linguistics and multilingualism, he does research on individual differences in psycholinguistic, sociolinguistic, pragmatic, psychological and emotional aspects of second language acquisition and multilingualism
• Ruth Jacobs is a very experienced and well-respected speech and language therapist. Her particular interest is whether and how bilingualism affects speech disorders.
