DT1 has finally started to wee on the potty (though she stands rathere than sits) but DT2 refuses, despite seeing her sister do it and watching the praise she gets, she tells me she wants a wee, but refuses to sit on the potty, instead she runs off and wees on the floor.

What I meant to ask was, do twins generally train around the same time or does it often differ? they are identical BTW, have heard identical twins almost always start at the same time, just woondering if that is accurate.

I am having exactly the same trouble with my identical twins!! One was easy, the other is proving a huge challenge!

Do them separately. I stressed out trying to do mine together and it just didn't work. one was definitely ready before the other and it takes the pressure off you if you do it one by one.

I have id boys - they trained at the same time - although one was more ready for it than the other.

Basically the other one did not want to be left out . - there was no way he would have waited.

It took a while - we started them a bit young because I wanted to get it sorted in the summer. Bribery worked quite well (a dolly mixture if they were successful - but fear they suffered sugar rushes - it is amazing how many wees than can squeeze out in an hour !).

All you can do it try - if it gets too stressful give up for a while (good rule for all parenting and especially twins ).

not identical but did mine separately. They were ready at different times and I was glad they were - much easier one at a time.

I have been dreading potty training, because potty training ds was hellish, it still is, he will be 6 in Feb, and its still a battle keeping him dry, I have been playing this game for 3 years now, and I dont wnt to play anymore

I know that feeling - it is not fair that you can't opt out of some parenting duties.

I would also opt out of the whingy kids bit.
