I have DS 20months and DD 3months

I'm knackered.

Please tell me it will get easier soon!

There's 19 months imbetween mine. I feel your pain and remember it well.
I'm not going to lie, the first 9 months were awful for me but DS just wouldn't sleep and I spent the whole time rocking him and getting more and more frustrated because I wasn't spending time with DD. Once he was weaned and could crawl life got easier, I confess that I used cbeebies a lot to pacify DD whilst I dealt with DS and we got outside as much as we could but it was much more bearable.
Now they are 19 months and just gone 3 and we have so much fun, they are very different and DD only just tolerates DS but he adores her and copies everything she does, especially her dancing which is hilarious.
I think a small age gap is brilliant - bloody hard at first but then incredibly fun and if I ever had any more (I won't as I'm a single parent now) id have a smaller age gap.

'This too shall pass' as they say :)

Thanks for your kind words whyhasnyhead

It's good to hear that it does get better. Things are getting On top of me a bit this week. DS is getting frustrated because he has realised he can communicate and talk to is, but he hasn't always got enough words to explain what he needs and has tantrums...

DD is mostly a good baby, but has reflux so if she won't take her gaviscon then she is really screamy :(

DS is waking up every night at the moment and fights bedtime. I'm just so fed up of listening to one it the other of them moaning. I love them dearly and we have great fun most of the time, but this week it's a bit much

Do you have any support? someone who will have them for a few hours or is your oldest in any childcare?
I had to go back to work when DS was only 7 weeks old so I got some 'me time' 2 days a week and my childminder was the bestest ever so would have DD for a few hours if DS was being horrendous.
Now their dad and I aren't together he has them all day Saturday and recently sometimes Saturday night so I get time to myself when I'm not at work to catch up with the housework, I know some people feel the need to be surgically attached to their DC but I personally feel that time to myself makes me a better parent for them.

I've just looked at a picture me and my DD at 20 months, I've got DS in a sling on my chest and I look shattered!!
