then you need Huggies Dry Nites. they come in 3 sizes, girls and boys, and cope with the larger volume of wee that bigger kids have.

our Tesco stock them, or try bigger branches of boots.

Thank you

I'll see if they fit

I have just swapped from pull-ups to huggies dry nights for my 6 yo. The pull-ups could no longer cope. The dry nights have managed well so far.

Gillian76 · 21/09/2006 22:17

They do them for older childrem. I've seen ads on TV. Is it dry nites?

Gillian76 · 21/09/2006 22:18

does anyone want a full pack of boys 4-7 drynites? wouldn't you know, ds decided to night train himself the day i bought a new pack (actually, this was about 6 months ago, they've been sitting around since then). don't want any money for them, just want to get rid.

If you would be willing to try cloth ones, Ds2 has Mother of Eden Overnight Undies. They have never leaked and work out cheaper than disposable ones in the long run.

Katymac · 22/09/2006 21:39

I will consider cloth (I used to use cloth when she was a baby)

However, for the last 18m I have been hoping it was a temporay problem - I think buying cloth will be accepting that it is more permanent (& I'm not sure I want to )

I know what you mean, Katy! I got cloth ones because his little brother is still in nappies and ds2 just throws the wet pants in the nappy bucket in the morning ( Except when they're dry!)
Did you try a bedwetting alarm by the way? This really worked for ds1 and when I get my act together I'm going to get one for ds2.

She had been dry for over 4 yrs at night and it started alongside some bullying

It seems also (now) to be connected to her asthma which also might be stress induced (or at least exacerbated)

Por kid - i kept saying when the bullying stopped the bed wetting would .....and 4 months later

Poor little thing! I do remember that I used to occasionally wet the bed and for some reason it used to happen if I believed it would happen. For example, as children we called dandelions "Piss-in-the-beds" because we believed that if you picked them, you would wet the bed. And every time I picked a dandelion, I wet the bed! It would also happen at times when it would be the most embarrassing, like staying in a hotel or with relatives. I think it just stopped when I was 10.

redshoes · 18/10/2006 20:53

KM, I'm going through something similar with dd1. She is 6.5, and was dry in the night before 3. Since starting school, she has gradually wet the bed more and more often (over the last 2 years!) but I can't seem to connect it to any particular 'trigger'. I've resorted to putting her in pull-ups which now leak - so I'll be trying the dry-nites too!
