Hello,
Might I ask which other benefits you get, (or got) if you are in the same situation as me?
I was hoping to carry on working and still get WTC, but sadly it's not possible.

I get the following from SLC:
Full maintenance loan.
Tuition fee loan.
Special support grant.
Parents learning allowance.
Childcare grant.

On top of this I get:
Child benefit.
Child tax credits.
Some housing benefit, covers about half of my rent.
Council tax exemption.

I think that is all!

Thank you very much!!!

I've found that this is what I will get:
Tuition loan of £9k a year paid direct to the University
Means tested loan of £1945
Non means tested of £3610
Long courses loan £356
Parental living allowance grant £1523
Special support grant £3387

I also get HB of £160 a month at the mo, hoping that will stay and I am assuming I'll be exempt from council tax, and I will still get Child Benefit of £136 a month.

I am thinking I'll be living off beans!!

Although your working tax credit will stop if you stop working you will still get child tax credits which should be over a £100 a week with two children.
We managed fine for the last year and that was with DP at college full-time, no funding and not earning anything.

Just plan and budget, especially if you are used to living off of more.
It is definitely doable though and we do not overly skimp on food, definitely not living off of beans.

Thank you! next week when DC'S are back to school I'll be going to see the housing benefits guy and the citizens advice, and ringing tax credits too. Is there anyone else that needs to know?
