Well what should I say to my five year old? So far I've been saying you'll end up being unhealthy but this means nothing to her.

Eating too many sweets means her teeth will fall out but what do I say about chips and crisps? I don't use the word fat. Should i use a clinical term? I dont want her to then start hectoring other kids in the playground. Do I say something cutesy like she'll turn into a chip?

Honest advice needed please.

I have to say I am disappointed though. I came in expecting to fully agree with you, saying "No, you can never eat too many crisps. Impossible." Blush slight crisp addiction

If she doesn't know what healthy means, I'd strongly suggest getting your view of "healthy" across to her so that you have the chance to explain things as you see them and counter-act some of the more barmy ideas that she is likely to come across at school and that's just from the national curriculum.

One bag of crisps, like one piece of chocolate, is a portion. A portion is just the right amount that our body needs. That's it. One is enough.
