Dd is 16mths and wears motherease, boostered, so is quite bulky around the bottom. Now she's walking lots I really need to have her in trousers alot during the winter but I'm struggling to find some to fit her bottom! I've got a pair from cut 4 cloth which are great, but she needs more and I can't afford to buy all her trousers from there! Is there anywhere else that makes nappies for cloth bottoms and is a bit cheaper? Or any other suggestions?

Dungarees. I always put ds in dungarees (he has a couple of pairs of jeans, but they are a size bigger and I have to roll the bottoms up)

Dds are more flexible - dresses and tights?

ds lives in jogging bottoms... usually £2.50 from the super market... either that or dungarees, there is definately a market for cloth nappy trousers that are affordable isn't there! if i had the talent i would start up a business making them!

Bright Bots are an Australian clothing make that make cloth nappies too. Twinkleontheweb.co.uk sell their clothes.

Their denim and canvas trousers are absolutely fab over cloth and seem totally indestructable so would easliy last another child or could be resold. I bought a pair of the denim and the fushia pink ones.

Have a look here

There are leggings and other trousers here starting at £5 or so, but the canvas ones are the best IMO - huge bottom and fit beautifully £14.95

Asda boys pull-on trousers were always good for my dses fat little nappy bots. Don't know about their girl's clothes though, but you could always use the boys ones and iron a girly patch on.

Thanks for the suggestions, I like the look of the bright bots clothes and will definitely order some. She does wear some dungarees too, but find that some are a bit snug and pop undone when she bends over, she's quite a stocky little girl which doesn't help! I do put dd is dresses and tights but she needs trousers for playing in the garden and walking the dog as she's still on her knees alot. Off to spend on Twinkle on the web now then.

tinkertogs are good for trousers too

I find the supermarkets and Woolworths cut their clothes generously so fit easily around reusables. Mothercare is ok too. Would avoid Next, JL aand Adams personally.

Have just bought my dd (12 months old) 2 pairs of really nice trousers from Tesco. A pink pair of cords with elasticated waist £5, I think. She wore them today over boosted MEO and tots. Also got a nice pair of purple trousers with sequins- with adjustable waist- I think they were £5 as well. I just bought the size for her age and they fitted great- with lots of room!!
