Hello,

My first post on Mumsnet !

We have a nearly 2 yo daughter and live in the UK

At home, we speak 3 languages:
1)L1- mother tonge: Mandarin Chinese
2)L2- father tonge : French
3)L3- community language (English)

We practice One Person One Language (OPOL).

So far so good, but she counts 1 to 10 with a mix of 3 languages...

Shall I worry ?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Don't worry. DS3 did the same
Thing, he now counts in both languages without any problems. If she counts in different language, just repeat in your language. That's what I did. Good luck!

My DS1 did that (all three of my DC's are trilingual in French, English and German) and it sound strange, but just gently correct her. I found DS1 grew out of it as soon a she started school and using the three languages separately.
