Have read some of the awful thread about rape/assault and am so shocked as to how rife it is. How can we keep our children safe? What ammunition can we give them?

Just want to say to all those who posted, your courage is amazing. Dinny x

AC - misread signals did not have a role in either of my rapes.
the more guys you make out with, the more likely you are to have non consensual sex?
Bollocks I think you'd find statistically it's cobblers too.
Wrong place at wrong time.
Anyone can terminate sexual contact at any time, thats how it should be and thats what the law states. The law however does not protect rape victims in court, as if their background is somehow mitigation that they "deserved" what they got
Like VVV I'm not able to stick to the OP so I'll PO

Have to agree with VVVQV and Piffle.
Misread signals is no excuse and is used as a cop out. Just another way in which to make victims blame themselves rather than their attacked and another way for the attacker to get themselves off.
