I feel a bit silly asking this, so I hope someone else has the same problem so I don't feel so silly.

I had E in November, and its been really cold since then so when I take her out i bundle her up and keep her warm. But now its getting really warm, so what do i put her in when we go out?
Does she need a fleece blanket? I had her in a dress and tights today with her coat on, but no blanket and she seemed ok but how do I know?
She did not seem hot or cold, but I worry (first time mum nerves )

Am I being completely daft asking this?

Not daft at all and she sounds fine. I'd always go for the "one layer more than you are wearing" approach and take an extra blanket just in case. If you are going to be indoors a lot of the time, or in and out of shops, it is easier to whip off a blanket than a heavy jacket.

I agree with the "one layer more than you" philosophy - worked well for us AND the extra blanket thing - it's easier to feel colder quicker when you're not walking around generating your own heat!

Not daft - it's only recently I stopped fretting about what ds wears (he seems to feel the cold far less than me! Takes after his father...)

Not daft at all - just shows you are a caring mum. My DD was also born in November and so can sympathise. My first DD was a summer baby so worried about over heating for her first fews months - just can?t win! I have just stopped putting my baby in her fleecy snowsuit because of the recent warmer weather (and getting a bit tight!) She seems fine with similar clothing to you. I tend to carry her round in a front carrier rather than a pushchair so the blanket thing doesn?t work so well - I just keep a pair of mittens and hat in my bag in case it coes get a bit cooler.
My general rule of thumb is that if she seems content enough and feels slightly warmer than me to touch (I have cold hands all year round) then she is probably fine.
TBH in this country there is probably more to worry about when we have hot weather (sun screen etc.) than at this time of the year. Being a little bit cooler now and again won?t cause them any lasting damage and you can quickly warm them up by going into a shop if out and about or keep a blanket in the car etc. I am sure she will be fine.

Agree with what's said.I saw a baby today out in the warm weather with full all in one winter coat, winter hat and blanket folded in four. Parent was wearing a tshirt as it was so warm here.

Sounds OK to me. And she's four months now so able to regulate her own temp a little bit more than an a new born. I often see babies in shopping centres all wrapped up in a snowsuit and with a blanket on while parents are coatless and think they must be overheating. When I used to go to the shopping centre (Meadowhall) I used to use a blanket for the reasons stripeymouse mentions.

Stripeymouse your DD will also be kept warm from your body heat and act like a cuddly hot water bottle for you. Thats what I used to love when DS was little.
