Hour of Doom!

My son is 7 months old, and until 4pm is the most sweet natured little boy I could wish for. He sleeps a straight 12 hours and is a joy.. However, as I enter the house with my 7 year old after school all hell breaks loose. He screams and screams and screams until I feed him, bath him and put him to bed. I have tried everything to keep him awake but nothing works! Can anyone offer any sage advice? My husband left the family home when our son was 3 months old, so I have no day to day support within the home. Thank you!

Agree with QT. If you could give us some more info on things like when he gets up and when his naps are.

He does nap twice in the day.. Even if he wakes at 3pm he still fires up at 4!! We have tried allsorts, from going to the park to visiting friends, playtime the lot. He only stops when bathed and in bed. This would be ideal if it were an hour or so later. As it is I am the one who gives in on the Mexican standoff and I often have to put him to bed at 5. I just wondered if many one else had experienced similar ear drum bashing experiences as mine! Thanks

Presume you've tried a sling?

He naps for an hour or so in the morning, then the same after lunch. He eats 3 timeser day bad has 3 bottles a day.
I have thought the same re the stimulation of the school run...hopefully it's a phase that will pass over the school holidays

As another post said, have you tried sling/baby carrier. My DS is 7.5mths & I have exactly the same from 5pm he goes to bed at 6:30pm bottle, 6:00pm & bath 6:15pm .... I too am lone parent.

My saviour is the sling.

Appreciate you have other DC to look after but at least you could have free arms & the sheer hell of screaming might stop.

Ps .... I actually have this most of the effing day!!!! He naps/eats well but is a ruddy VELCRO BABY!!!
