It's hard to say. Is she scratching it?

CantThinkOfAGoodUsername · 30/06/2014 16:22

Nope doesn't seem to bother her

Looks like eczema to me. Particularly as it's in the crease

Slap some sudocrem on it? My dcs used to get sore bits in any fat folds during hot weather. Generally keeping them clean and sudocrem worked a treat.

Dry skin patch I would say, could be v. v. mild eczema. Very common in the elbow and knee creases, especially in warm weather. Both DS's are prone to it a bit. Try using some Hydromol or E45 on it for a week or two and see if it clears and steer clear of soap in the bath.

I agree it looks like mild eczema. My daughter had a bad patch in her arm pit. It also never bothered her but wasn't healing so I got some cream for it.

Get some Aveeno cream and put that on each day. Dd had similar on the back of her knee. GP said eczema and prescribed steroids which didn't really clear it. Aveeno seemed to soothe it and I think she grew out of it.

Looks like Eczema - probably brought on by sweat.

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 01/07/2014 22:42

Interesting to read replies- I would second Sudocrem. My DD has something very similar on the side of her neck, and I wondered about eczema, or the heat as she often sleeps with her head turned to the side. I've been putting Sudocrem on it for the past few days and it's looking a lot better- the redness has all but gone and the dryness is beginning to disappear.

My DS gets this when he is hot. First got it when he had a really high temperature with a virus and then it just stayed. Now he only gets it if he gets too hot. We use Aveeno on him and it works well. Sudocrem didn't help for us.
