Toddler with own room on holiday

At what age did you give your dc their own room in a holiday cottage? We are looking to book a holiday with an almost 3 year old and new baby. Dd has her own room at home but I feel a bit weird about her having the same on holiday. Dh is keen she does. Obviously the room would have to be suitable, no en suite etc and I may even get one of those travel safety gates to stop night time wanderings..

We have just got back from a week in France and DS (10 months) had his own room. We took a monitor but didn't need it as we could hear him from the next room. He's not entirely
mobile but the place was well set up. For example, the room didn't have clutter that he could attack and destroy and there was space for playing on the floor.

That makes me feel better! New at this. She is probably growing up faster than I realise...

I'm sure it will be a brilliant adventure for her Grin

DS had his own room last year at 2.2.

The year before he was 14mo and we were staying somewhere that didn't have space for him to have his own room. That didn't work very well.

This year 3.2yo DS and 10mo DD are in together.
