In hindsight (ie tomorrow) tonight may seem funny but at the moment I am just stressed out....
Bathtime started with DS1 weeing all over his bedclothes and duvet. Whilst I was finding the clean duvet and sheets and redoing the bed he decides to wash the bathroom floor with his toy mop and toilet water.....
Then just as I was getting DS2 dry in his room DS1 does a huge poo in the bath....
Whilst fishing out poo and trying to persuade DS1 to finish it off on the potty DS2 falls off the bed where I had stupidly left him...
Then I had to leave a poo filled bath shut DS1 in his room and settle DS2 off to sleep before starting on DS1's stories etc and then cleaning up the bathroom including washing the bath mat and cleaning the entire floor with a real mop and not toilet water.....
And now DH hass rung to ask if there is any tea for him.... he may get it on his head....
I have to say I lost it with DS1 after the poo incident and shouted quite a lot so now I feel guilty as well.....
ARGHHHHHH

Oh dear! Sounds a nightmare!

you will laugh tomorrow!

Get DH to get his own tea (and yours while he's at it!!!)

  1. get rid of toy mop and replace with (eg) small dustpan and brush or a toy toaster or something not at all cleaning related
  2. leave poo next time for DH to sort out if he makes ludicrous remarks re his tea
  3. keep stash of chocolate for you and you alone
  4. consider bathing DSs on alternate nights until they are a bit bigger? ie one bath each a night or one bath shared every 2nd night (sympathy...but as you said, you will laugh tomorrow, it made me smile I am afraid!)

Sorry to say this, but you made me laugh too.

It sounded so funny, reading it and i really hope you're laughing now!!!!!!!!

Sounds like my house some days, one disaster after another, but you do see the funny side, sometimes!!!

oh no I hate those sequences where they are busy creating the next disaster as you are cleaning up the previous one.

fistfullofnappies · 10/09/2006 00:09

it is quite funny to read though.

dd did the poo in bath thing recently, she fished it neatly out and put the bits in a row along the edge of the bath.

fussymummy · 10/09/2006 00:23

What a lovely thoughtful child!!!!!!!!!

fistfullofnappies · 10/09/2006 00:30

thats what I thought. Have been trying to direct her thoughtfulness towards using the potty...

CJinSussex · 10/09/2006 00:43

hahahahahaha Can't help lol at your disaster movie. I bath all 3 together and occasionally DD2 does a poo in it. You've never seen 3 & 4 year olds get out of a bath so fast.

I thought of you last night, went to bed and found my son in my 5 year old daughters bed (top and tail).

Then my 3 year old got in to our bed as she wanted a cuddle.

Then my son started talking in his sleep.

My partner got up and went to be sick!!!!!

5 year old said she couldn't sleep, cause of the sleep talking, so i told her to get in 3 year olds bed, and she stayed in with me.

Then told partner that if he was ill, he could sleep on the sofa!!!!!!!!!!

I laughed when it was happening, it was so comical.

Thanks guys... needless to say I did laugh a lot the next day.... its one of those stories you can embarass them with. I have several.
But why oh why do most of them involve at least two different sorts of bodily fluid!!!!
