Is there anything that can help with chicken pox scars?

DS is two and had chicken pox a few months ago.

He has a crater about the size of a 5p in between his nose and eye, sort of half on his nose. It's very visible and I think he picked the scab when it was healing.

He also has a larger one on his tummy.

I was wondering if there's anything that could help minimise them? It doesn't bother him now, but the one on his face is very obvious and I'd like to help reduce it if possible.

Vitamin E oil helped with my childrens CP scars.

You can but a little bottle in chemists or Holland and Barrett and a little goes a long way.

Its thick and sticky, so use sparingly.

They really fade a lot over time too.
Young skin is amazing!

Thanks ill try the vitamin e oil.. Probably best to apply whilst he's sleeping as its so close to his eye!

I hope so gini - I don't want him to be conscious of it when he's older.

Would bio oil help?
It says it can reduce appearance of scars, if used 3 times a day, I think.

I think it will fade. DD had two quite big ones on her forehead, now a few months down the line they're much less visible.

I thought maybe bio oil would be a bit too harsh if used near the eyes? I will check the packet.

That's reassuring metal, I had no idea chicken pox could leave such big marks, it's all new to me!

It says you can use on the face to lessen uneven skin tone. Also can be used on wrinkles and lines so assuming that's the face too. I'd just use minimal amounts. X
