I have put ds in a cloth nappy for the first time at night tonight. I have put him in a fluffle with the booster and a microfiber cloth as well, will this be enough? I cant do us his baby grow at the bottom as his happy is so big and the baby grows just right on him, but if i put him in a bigger one it will be to long.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

That should be fine - I can only get a night nappy on with a proper sized babygrow if he is in bamboo because of the slimness. DS wears nightgown things most of the time (which look really sweet ).

See how wet/dry it is in the morning and experiment with different amounts of boostering for a few nights, and you'll work out how much you need.

There's a photo about somewhere of my weeble baby his first night in cloth - he looks HUGE - but is a much more normal size now we've settled into it.

He's so cute, how old is he?
ds kind of looked a bit like that, all nappy and not a lot of baby.

There - he was about 6 weeks I think (possibly 8)... he's now 6 months and has grown into everything better

The sleepgowns - I have been putting wool longies underneath them in colder weather and a pair of socks, and he seems fine... I do seem to breed children that don't feel the cold though - DD spent most of her first winter in just a vest.

You can get them from here , but they are pricey... they are lovely though (I have one of those), and my others were mothercare ones that I managed to get off another mnetter - they have stopped selling them for some reason

they are cute, but he is already 20 weeks, so will not got any use out of it, will have to keep a look out for something like that.
Think i got nappy just right last night as nappy was quite wet but no leaks, anly washed it 3 times so it will only get better.
Got him in a bamboozle with a microfibre cloth tonight, so see how we go.

How'd it go?

UniSarah · 09/09/2006 18:14

i use over size b-grows. fold the arms back and leave the legs, his feet won;t get squahed thats for sure:-)s, when they get snugger i dont do up the poppers round the bum.

littlepiggie · 09/09/2006 20:25

No weaks!!!!!!!
had him in a little lamb nappy last night, has a built in booster, added an one extra as well, no leaks but very bulky.
So far bomboozles and fluffles i love, so i will get a couple of wambamboos as well

I too put dd in cloth nappies for the first time last night - i was a bit nervous but a onelife (same as motherease) with a booster pad lasted for 6 hours without a leak as i changed her at 2am and then she last until 7 am fine. She is only 10 weeks old at the mo so still waking but felt so pleased that she was ok and i didn't have to use a disposable at night time. Do you think i would need to put in 2 booster pads when she goes right through the night?

Did you all feel as chuffed as i do that you can use cloth at night? I told my husband this morning and he looked at me as though i had 2 heads!!!

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 09:41

donnabon - This is the nightime nappy to use

moljam · 13/09/2006 09:43

we use either terries or puddlepants and fleece or wool wrap at night,no leaks.

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 10:00

Ds is 7 months old (just) and I don't use a booster with these nappies.

Also don't buy boosters to stuff in nappies.
Simply go to Tescos and buy some microfibre cloth - cheap, easy and slimline

Ok I'll stop preaching now
