Hello!
I have bought a set of size one bamboozles second hand for my second baby due in december.....has anyone used these on a newborn? obviously all babies differ in size, just wondering if anyone used them on new baby from the start. Ive only got fifteen, am wondering about buying some more nappies so im not in a constant nappy washing frenzy, any suggestions on good nappies for little ones?

Hi
I used aplix bamboozles from one week old with no problems. I used disposibles for the first week mainly because I had loads left from the pack I bought to take into hospital with me! I also thought that the cord would be better left uncovered till it dropped off and I found it easier to turn the front of a disposible down (others may disagree)

I had quite a few different types of cloth nappies and in my opinion they are all bulky on a newborn but they grow into them so quickly and sleep all the time anyway that I don't think it matters.

I think I only had about fifteen or so nappies to start and managed fine with the extra washing.

I would recommend buying a few fast drying nappies like fluffles for example, I found these great if I was running low on nappies and needed some dry in a hurry. Twinkle have some ex demo fluffles for sale in their bargin section at a reduced price.

Sorry have gone on for ages, I love cloth nappies and could talk about them all day!

I started using them from about 6 weeks - I was still finding my feet before then (and had problems getting wraps, but that was a whole other issue).

Agree about having a couple of fast dryers for those inbetweeny drying times. Even just a pack of terry squares are great.

Size 0 kissaluvs are lovvvvvvvvvely for newborns if you can get some

thanks for your replies, i feel reassured now! I think i will get a few standbys as this is a december baby so drying isnt going to be as quick as it is when you can hang them all out in the sun! Also, its an excuse to BUY MORE NAPPIES!
