Mine is in just a babygrow with no blankets or sheets.

I tried to cool the place down by opening the window but a huge spider tried to crawl in shudder. Theres no draft anyway, it feels SO close!

Was also going to say...if you use reusable nappies do you ever swap to disposables when it's 24+ as the former are like wrapping your bum in a massive duvet...?

I had a bit of a panic about what my LO should wear last week. Have gone with a s/s vest and lightweight (1tog) sleeping bag. If it gets any warmer would need to change that to a lighter sleeping bag. But I also have the window open so that's creating some coolness - monitor says it's 22.

Where do you get light sleeping bags from? Need something lighter than 1.5 tog, which is all I can find atm. Ds is just in a babygrow btw.

There are 0.5tog bags I think!

georgie22 · 14/06/2014 06:53

You can buy 0.5 and 1 tog Gro bags kinkytoes. I bought a 0.5 tog earlier this week from the Gro Store.

kinkytoes · 14/06/2014 06:55

Lovely, thanks. Think they'll come in handy now ds is a wriggling toddler!

PastaandCheese · 14/06/2014 07:11

John Lewis do light bags too. They are great. If it gets warmer I can drop down to a nappy and the bag.

Awakeagain · 14/06/2014 07:39

I got my 1 tog bag from tk max
It's a grobag one

littlemonkey2013 · 14/06/2014 07:43

27 degrees here and DS is in just a sleep suit, no vest, no cover

boopdoop · 14/06/2014 09:42

We got our 1 tog one from mothercare which was a bit cheaper than grobags.

NorahBone · 14/06/2014 09:42

Our little flat gets really warm but we do have windows open all the time in the summer. It caused a huge dilemma with me when it was warm in the evenings and a bit nippier at night as to what sleeping bag to put ds in. Some nights I swapped him over in the night as his legs felt cold. Now he's in a 1 tog grobag but with a babygrow as well. We use reusable and at the moment he's in a terry Mother-ease nappy and cover with a cotton pre-fold inside because he's drinking his own body weight in milk every night! I'm not sure if a disposable would be better - they're thinner but kind of plasticky aren't they? His bum doesn't feel hot or anything in the morning.

buffythebarbieslayer · 14/06/2014 12:20

Room 22 degrees

Sleepsuit and 1 tog grobag. Might drop to a short sleeve vest and gro bag tonight as felt very muggy last night!

IShallCallYouSquishy · 14/06/2014 13:38

Last night monitor in our room said 24 or 25. Baby was in vest with some legging type bottoms on and a very light blanket just over his bottom half.

Toddlers room I'm guessing was similar temp, and was in vest and 1 tog gro bag.

poocatcherchampion · 14/06/2014 21:53

just a vest currently for 9mo.

I totally get what you mean re duvet nappies bit I figure disposibles are sweaty bags so I'd rather the duvet!

poocatcherchampion · 14/06/2014 21:54

toddler in PJ top. both have blankets but they aren't using/needing them. about 23 here.

BocaDeTrucha · 16/06/2014 22:20

24° here too at night with not much breeze and ds is in a short sleeved body with a 1-tog grobag. But he is still very sweaty round the hairline when I feed him in the night. If it gets hotter, he'll go on the grobag with no body suit on.

SweetPeaPods · 16/06/2014 22:21

Ds has been in just ss vest/body suit for the past wk. he is in my bed so although he doesn't like being under the duvet I've not put gro bag on him.

littleluna89 · 16/06/2014 23:29

DD (19 months) is in pj's and under a blanket rather than a duvet, it's about 25 degreese in there at the moment, the downside of being in a mid-terrace is that it never gets cool.

TheMuppetsIsWhereIShouldBe · 16/06/2014 23:44

My DS is 2 and in his short and t-shirt pjs with a blanket and a duvet my central heating is on all year round on 25 degrees so guess it's that temperature in his room.

Nothing useful to contribute, just that I'm chuckling to read of people stripping kids down at 22 degrees. My baby's room is 20 degrees and I'm worried she's cold in long sleeved vest, pyjamas and 2.5 tog bag.

Temperature is a funny thing!

poocatcherchampion · 18/06/2014 08:29

we save the warm stuff for our winter average of 13deg. Grin.

SqutterNutBaush · 18/06/2014 11:33

T-shirt and wool shorts :o

N.b the wool shorts are used as wrap over her night nappy so they are fully breathable.

Its not that warm here, around 19° at night in the bedrooms but both boys are in shortie PJs, DS1 has his wool 4tog duvet and DS2 is in a 1-tog sleeping bag. A week or two ago when it was a bit warmer DS2 did without the bag and DS1 insisted on a snuggy blanket pulled right up over his head Hmm
