Moisturiser?

I know I can probably use some olive oil on DS' torso, but what about his face? It's just that I can see some dry skin now - he's 4 months.

maybe something plain like Aqueous cream or any other perfume free emoilient cream.
Got to say, Aqueous cream was never any good my lot...and neither were E45...but I just use Asdas own Emoilient cream, which is cheap enough, and don't seem to dry out even more or give them allergic reactions or anyhting!

Sorry to butt in, but my ds had very bad ezcema and having spent some time/half of my ds's life on the allergies thread, aquaous cream is a definate no no. Apparently with some babies/children it can really sting and some doctors think it only makes the problems worse. However me, and many of the other mums on the thread live with and swear by Aveeno Cream/Moisteriser. It is the best moisteriser whether your lo has skin "issues" or not. Great for you too. Very natural and made with oats. Boots sell it (although it is a little on the pricey side in comparison to other creams) and I often order it through a Lloyds chemist although due to my ds's ezcema I now get it on prescription! Hope this helps.

Thanks! I don't use anything for his face - just wet a face cloth and wipe it clean in the morning, but you know, if you don't moisturise your arms/legs, you start seeing those streaky, taut looking skin. I've a tube of Aqueous Cream, but it takes forever to rub in

Another very good moisteriser is Eucerin with 5 or 10 % Urea....and that doesn't sting even on bad sore skin!
But that Aveeno cream sounds good...shall have a look into that

I found that all of the baby moisturisers (like johnsones, simple etc) just dried my dd's skin. I now use tesco own vitamin e moisturiser which keeps her skin from drying out. It is non-greasy, rubs in easily and it is dead cheap.

Hi,
I've tried a couple and found that this hemp moisturiser from YAOH works really well for us.

I've just got Aveeno cream on prescription from the dr - dd2 has only a touch of excema but it stops it from developing into a more severe case of it. I think the cream works better than the lotion (more intensive??) I've tried the sachets of colloidal oatmeal in the bath too but all this did was to make the bath hard to clean. The cream really does work.

Aveeno is the way to go!

We've had some success with this

Have had Aveeno on prescription previously but the Allergenics seems to be more effective for DS
