Hi, new born baby due soon and our 3 yr old Son has rediscovered his buggy and has worked out that it's much easier than walking. Baby due in the winter so need a double for the rain, hail, snow etc otherwise I would of got a board.
Any suggestions, my 3yr old is average height.

I've got a Phil & Ted. My DC are only a year apart, but they are 3.5 and 2.5 now and it still works well for them, and worked well when DC2 was a newborn.

Try to find one on eBay. I got mine for less than £100, doubles kit, rain cover, everything included. If you've got time, you can wait for a good looking/cheap/near one, but start looking early.

Phil & Teds don't work so well with boards, so if you want to move onto having it as a single with a board after 6 months/year and your DS has decided he wants to run, it may not be perfect for you. Go to a shop and test them out and see what suits you, then hunt for a bargain second-hand one, as you probably won't need a double too long.

We're loving our oyster max for newborn dd and 2.8yo ds. It's handy that I can easily use as a single pram when ds is at nursery too. It's pretty bulky though so not great for lugging about in a car. But great for walking.

Mountain buggy duet here for baby and 2 1/2 year old. It's enjoyably narrow for a double, can squeeze through most doors so shops and front door access no problem.

My eldest is tall and she fits in comfortably. Seats fully recline for baby (and DD if she's tired) nice big hoods.

I prefer side my side as my eldest is often hopping in and out so this seems easier. Didn't like idea of one being stuck underneath with no view.

Really easy to push and steer (one handed do-able), folds fairly compactly considering it's a double but is extremely heavy so not good for lugging in and out of a small car.

I have a bugaboo donkey that I love, so maneuverable, can move between single and double buggy in seconds for days alone with the baby and when the toddler grows up, can swap the seats around and change their direction, has both a carry cot and seat for the baby

but I am in a smallish city with good public transport access and don´t have a car, and use a sling and umbrella buggy for holiday traveling etc

I love my britax side by side double. It fits everywhere and the car seat attaches too. My ds are now 2 and 6 months .
