Just not sure when I should up my DD to two meals a day. She has one at the moment and has had one for about a month and a half now should I be giving her more? My MIL keeps pushing me to do it.

Do it when you and your dd are ready, ignore your mil! I weaned my dd onto 3 meals a day in a week and a half, she loved food still does.. and I found it easier... Some of my friends dc have only just gone onto 3 meals at 12mo..

How old is she?

I started dd at 23 weeks, she is 7 months now and on 3 meals.

Is your baby enjoying food? Is she hungry?

I started with tea, then added breakfast and finally lunch. I think I did breakfast from about 27/28 weeks then lunch a week or so later, so she was on 3 meals about 6 weeks after we started weaning.

6 month old is on 3 meals a day - baby porridge for breakfast then a cube or 2 of puree veg at lunch/dinner.

She's 21 weeks we started her earlier because milk just wasn't cutting it. She loves food. Which is why my MIL pushes me to give her more I think. (Although I also suspect it might be because she wants to feed her and she works at lunchtimes when DD gets her solids) MIL is quite difficult although I could make that a whole new thread!

Increase it if you and your dd want to. Ignore MIL, she sounds very bossy. Neither mil or dm ever advised me on anything to do with weaning.

My dd didn't want three meals a day until she was about 9 months. She's 13mo now and a good eater. Trust your instincts and don't listen to what other people tell you your baby should or should not be doing.
