dd is 14mths and is getting too big to have her nappy changed on the unit (and when she stands up i'm always scared she will fall off) I'm considering getting the huggies pull ups but i'm not really sure what to do, and if i do get rid of the unit do i start using the bathroom to change her (mine is tiny) or just where ever

Use the floor. Or put a changing mat on the bed.

I just do ds wherever. On the floor.

Always change mine on my knee in the living room.

I meant to say I change DS not mine

on floor or anywhere we are. sofa is a favorite of dd's at moment. runs there and shouts till i do it!

What's the point in pull-ups? We tried them but they didn't seem to help at all. The tricky part of nappy changing is cleaning off crap and pull-ups don't seem to address that (sticky) problem. Apart from crap, everything else seems fairly straightforward. I don't get them?

Anyway, to answer the question, we change on the bathroom floor.

dd used to get hers changed on the living room floor (or any other floor really!!)

gigwig · 31/08/2006 13:51

we just used the floor/changing mat then moved to changing nappies with DS standing up.

We use the chair in ds's room - I put something enticing on it (puzzle, toy, car etc) then he stands up and plays while I change him. He even lifts one leg when I ask now! Poo is a bit different but he knows that mostly he gets to do nappies the easy way, and when it's poo it has to be lying down! Still have to produce a distraction though, and I move the changing mat onto the floor in his room to do it.
