he is so blardy minded.

whne oyu tell him off he either laughs( NOT toelrated here) or makes a frowny sulky face
the other two are so biddable.

OP posts:
edam · 30/08/2006 18:38

will be interesting to see how each of them works out as an adult then - do biddable children make biddable adults? And bloody-minded children make captains of industry or something?

ocd · 30/08/2006 18:39

hmm who knows
he knows his brothers adore hima dn bend over backwards to helo hima dn chat nicely to him

Erm, yes, ds3 is wild but soooooo cute with it that it's almost impossible to tell him off. Oop! Well, he's only 2 yrs 1 day so plenty of time to pull him in to line, yes?!

Gobbledigook · 30/08/2006 19:02

He too copies burping and rude behaviour from the other two and the other two egg him on and belly laugh when he's being naughty. Quite amusing to watch as long as they aren't painting make up all over my carpet or anything.

ocd · 30/08/2006 19:03

but my other tow dont really burp etc much not liek some kids

Gobbledigook · 30/08/2006 19:03

Mine are going through a phase of thinking it's hilarious - they are a bit younger than yours. It won't be tolerated for much longer (though they do ALWAYS say 'excuse me' as if it lets them off the hook!)

pageturner · 30/08/2006 19:03

My 3rd is the same. 3.6: blows raspeberries to be rude, talks about poo all the time, calls people poo-face and says they smell of poo, he hits, he kicks, he throws things. Weird, because he can be absolutely adorable and then a switch is flicked and he's horrid. Toilet training is still an issue too, so that ups the ante rather. And he really horrible to his father. Bit about the whole thing.

Twiglett · 30/08/2006 19:05

DS is currently experiencing the same

I am taking 'stands' left, right and centre

I am not however sure yet whether I am General Custer or the Indians

ocd · 30/08/2006 19:05

yes ds3 is 3.4

hmm he has been told to sit ont eh chair at the table rather than the bench wher the others sit till he can behave

threebob · 30/08/2006 19:07

He gets rewarded with lots of attention for doing the tongue, burping by the sound of it. I would instititute a zero noticing policy (or pretending to at any rate) and just talk to someone else, or go and pin out the washing. Without his audience there is no show.

Hitting is time out, which again is no attention.

auntyquated · 30/08/2006 19:07

well my looney is 7 ...what do i do about that????

look ...and no one cares

ocd · 30/08/2006 19:08

sorry no one saw.
yes you are right ds3 loves the attention he gets
we also think its a lot to do wiht shcool holidays and being abroad wiht other kids to show off to.

So question for you Cod. You say zero tolerance - sounds great - but i need pointers. How do you enforce zero tolerance ie what punishment?
DS is 6 and can be a nigtmare. We have a behaviour ladder which determines pocket money - but then get "what's so good about that then" !
Very much a cut of nose to spite face (like his mum ) so how does it work?

coderoo · 04/09/2006 20:15

aha sorry have only just seen this

right well you have to explain the rules and every time they breakt hem you enforce the punishemnt
a reward chart may be better ofr an older kid
