5 week old - this is normal, right?

Dc3 is 5 weeks old and ebf. She's a lovely baby but as with ds1 & 2 she will not be put down without a fuss. Having learnt it's more important to sleep and stay sane I co-sleep and use a sling. She's happy with dh in between feeds but refuses to be put down - this is normal for a good number of babies isn't it? Hv seemed to think it was odd and it's made me wonder if it is unusual, maybe I should be trying to put dd down more during the day.

Sounds okay to me to be honest - DS1, now 23 months, wanted to be with me or DH all the time. Wouldn't sleep in his crib during the day or his cot at night to start with so had to sleep on one of us. Was exhausting. DS2, 11 weeks, is the opposite. He'll happily babble away in his crib or observe from a bouncy chair; he'll drift off to sleep by himself quite contentedly which his older brother wouldn't do for months and months.

Some babies are 'people' babies, some prefer to watch the fun from the sidelines!

Totally normal. I'm looking at my 17 month old think how nice it would be to cuddle him for ages, he won't sit still! He also hated being out down when he was littler.

Ds was like this. Think he thought the bears would come and eat him when we put him down.

Well that's what I thought she obviously has good survival instincts and doesn't fancy being a bear snack...

Hv managed to plant the seed of doubt. She had me wondering if it's a parenting thing when I was thinking it was more to do with temperament. Glad to see it's fairly normal, as I suspected.
