2 year olds speech, am I overthinking this?

My just turned 2 yo DD understands everything you say to her, but her speech is very hit and miss, she will say quite a few words, and sometimes she will retain them and other times she won't, sometimes her words are clear, sometimes it's only me who understands what she means.
Her little friend who is just a couple of months older, speaks in full and clear sentences, her cousin who is a couple of months younger, while doesn't have as many words, his are far clearer.

DD has 2 older brothers, who are twins, who suffered severe speech delay, undergoing speech therapy from the age of 4-7, one of them has been signed on to a speech therapist at school again this week at nearly 9 (though this is more for language rather than actual speech now)

I know babies develop at different rates, and on the whole I'm not too worried, but DD has started to get frustrated, A LOT, and I'm wondering if it's because she feels she can't communicate with us?
Am I overthinking this, or does it sound like she may have speech issues?
Any advice/opinions welcome...

Just because of the family history of speech delay, I would self refer to SLT.

My daughter is 2 and has severe speech delay. Both expressive and receptive and sees an SLT.

I would refer to a salt for peace of mind.

Can I refer myself or do I need to speak to a Doctor?
I didn't realise they'd see a child as young as 2?

I'm just getting annoyed with myself wondering what's 'normal' and what's not. I have no one to really compare her to as her brothers suffered so badly :( (I'm still annoyed it was never picked up on at nursery etc)

I understand your frustration. My DS has speech problems but I was dismissed until he was four.

In my area the speech therapists have drop in clinics for parents who a concerned. Give your local ones a ring and see if they do the same or if you can self refer.

I have a SaLT friend, I've just asked if I can pick her brains, as I'm not sure if we have drop in sessions here. I will ring about on Monday though and find out.
Thank you both
It's just nice to feel like I am not over reacting, as I keep getting told I am by other mums who have had no children with SaL problems
