Hi.I qualified 10 years ago so am awfully out of date.Still have a copy of "Royal Marsden Book of Clinical Nursing Proceedures"!!!!.The best thing to do would be to contact the course leader and ask them for a reading list.If money is tight Id suggest buying second hand on e-bay or Amazon. If you are enrolled at college youll get a library card.Id use this rather than buying unless you find a book you think is essential. If you are placed on a ward many will have a selection of books relating to their specialism which most will be happy for you to use. Most hospitals also have a library that you can access as a student. The medical/nursing databases eg CINHAL are also useful.Good luck in your course HTH
