Question about bib safety...

It might be a stupid question but does anyone put their baby down to sleep with a bib on?

DS is six weeks and suffers with trapped wind and a it of reflux and he is typically asleep when he is on his back. His MB is tilted for safety. As a result of him being sick we have to keep changing him which isn't very practical overnight so i was contemplating putting him down yo sleep with a bib on.

The bibs we have our pretty standard (no silly neckerchiefs in this house) that do up at the side of his head, I.e over his shoulder, with a press stud.

I have wondered how safe this is though and do wondered if anyone else did it??

My post is meant to say he is typically sick when on his back, not that he's typically asleep when on his back Smile

I used to put dd down with a bib on - she also had reflux. Don't know how safe it is though.

What about a muslin under baby's head like a pillow. We did that, easy to change it over.

We did the same as rideyourbike and it worked well

The problem is that the sick goes over his clothes, not his sheets...

I read somewhere that a bib can be a choking hazard, it kinda makes sense as it is something wrapped around their neck. Not sure what to suggest that hasn't been mentioned already - hope you finds something that works for you.

We didn't - I never really found bibs that useful with my very sticky baby (sick travels surprisingly far!), so we had the midnight clothes changes.

If you can afford it buy lots of sheets and sleepsuits and have all the stuff for a complete change ready by the bed so you can autopilot..
