Cloth night nappies for 4yo

I have used terries for DS since birth. He's in pants in the day now but still in nappies at night and I don't think he's anywhere near ready for night training. I have him in two terries at the moment (thankfully he's small!) but just wondered if anyone has recommendations for anything super absorbent that might be more comfy for him?

Little Lambs bamboo in size 3?

You can buy 70 and 75cm Terries from Twinkle - they also have some bargain offer nylon Bummis pants as well at the moment. We have used the larger Terries, often padded with a baby size one, much later than 4 with no problems. HTH

Thankyou both, I will look into those options. Smile

Tots bots bamboozles go in a size 3,0 personally I rate them higher than little lambs and have used both on both my children

Thanks Mother will check those out too. I looked on Twinkle and found some Motherease pull up pants, thinking of giving them a go. Although they are a bit pricey.

We tried the Motherease pants and found that they did not really cope unless we lifted - and we were then being advised against that by our GP. I was in a hurry when I sent the earlier message and should have said that the 75cm nappies, although only 15cm more in each direction, give more than 50% more area and are thicker as well so are really very effective as well as cheap compared with other options - certainly the Motherease ones which I remember as being expensive.

Thankyou Cat that is really useful info. I was hoping to find an effective pull-up option, I guess that is not to be. Big terries it is. Did you use disposable pull ups at the training stage or were the Motherease pants ok for one off accidents?

At night with the older children we went straight from nappies to nothing once they were dry at night - after using an alarm in the case of the older two DSs at 6.4 and 7.6 respectively. (DD who was 17 months younger became dry and he wanted to be without nappies so we tried an alarm which worked quite quickly. I think she gave up night nappies in the January or February before she was 5 in the March and he was dry within 3 or 4 months.) We did use training pants in the day for all of the older ones and and I am about to start more seriously now the better weather is coming Hmm with DS3. (I am hoping to get him at least day trained before new baby in August.)
