My sister will be visiting me for a week soon and I am trying to plan some fun activities, but it's so hard.
She's at that age where she's too old for some things (or thinks she is at least) but too young for others.
We live in central London, so will do the obvious sight seeing, shopping etc, and plan to spend a night in Brighton. Also go to the cinema and bowling.
Any more ideas please?

shopping will be fine, Take them to top shop and sit back and relax

I've heard topshop has a coffee bar, is it true?

shopping(lots of) and wandering seemingly aimless around in shopping areas (actually casting beady eyes over local teenage male population)

Doe she like music? Is there an 'all ages' gig you can get into with her (lots are 14 plus...could you lie for her!?)

Beetroot · 23/08/2006 12:24

it has a nail bar and I think a coffee bar. boders is very near with starbcuks in it though.

That sounds good, better make sure I have a clear balance on my credit card though, I can imagine how much I'd have loved topshop Oxford street at her age. lol.
My friend has just suggested paddle boats in hyde park, and a picnic, is this a good idea?

There is a style thingy at topshop and they can have a make over thing. You amy have to book it

I am sure you will be there all day.

Paddle boat..maybe but not in the rain

Beetroot · 23/08/2006 13:12

go to TOPSHOP info and then Style advisor

AvaLou · 23/08/2006 13:15

Oh wow, (my credit card already has a headache)

Thanks, I bet she will love it.
I thought afternoon tea at claridges would be lovely, but maybe more for me than her?

my 13 year old neice went to the hard rock cafe for her 13th birthday, she loved that

AvaLou · 23/08/2006 13:24

We have been to the Ivy but felt grubby, LMAO,and then sadly deflated after our massive bill, so never again

Ok, scrap all of that. You want to know what 13 year old girls do, a 13 year old girl will tell you (thats me btw). 13-15 year olds just need WiFi to function. When they're bored of that, take them clothe shopping in New Look, Primak, TopShop, JD, whatever. After that, go to costa or starbucks

RemoteControl1 · 08/07/2019 22:53

The 13-year-old in question will now be around 26, so your advice is slightly on the late side....
