If you had 1.5 hours to yourself over a Saturday lunchtime, how would you spend it?

Dh is taking dc out to see a friend :)

It's been a tough week, I'm so excited to have some me-time and desperately don't want to waste it!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

artandco my post reads like I never get time to myself and dream of having an occasional hour to myself but I actually meant to write it as though that is what I would do this afternoon if I was in the OP's position.

In reality I do get lots of time to myself: an hour or two after work on Mon-Wed before dh and dc get home and, if I feel like a break at the weekend I do the same as you and just go out (if we or dh have no plans) - and in return I offer him the same courtesy. Smile

ArtandCo I see what you mean but posters haven't said how old their DC are. My DD is only 5wo and we have a toddler so neither DH or me get much genuine free alone time. I didn't read the thread as being that serious TBH.

Ice - more reason to IMO. We have x2 toddlers and that's the reason I/ dh both want time alone to think sometimes. Even when bf new baby I knew baby would be fine without feed for 2 hours so could go get hair cut/ meet friend etc. majority of the time we would all go together anyway to spend time as a family

artandco I never said I didn't get any alone time.. Just what I would do with it when I had some. I've the morning to myself tomorrow and I will go to bed with Netflix like I said !

You should share weekend time off with DH.

We have 18 month old twins and we each have time off on a Sunday (he works on a Saturday). If it my "time off" I have a big lay in followed by a long soak in the bath and breakfast in peace. It is lovely and I look forward it.

If I could afford it, I would get a nice massage.

Otherwise a nice bubble bath with a glass of wine and a good book.

I would go to a coffee shop with my kindle. its what I'm doing right now. Bliss. my dd is 4 months and I get one day a week where I can be by myself if I want and some occasional odd hours when dp finishes at 5pm. I always feel guilty doing it though so I'm never away for more than 4 hours at the very most.
