refuses to go at nursery

my son (2yrs) is quite good at home and asks for the potty for wees and tells us when he needs to poo but there are two problems:
1: when he needs to poo he panics and does not seem to want it to come out, he will sit on the potty happily for ages but holds the poo in then will eventually poo standing up usually (but not always) missing the potty and pooing on the floor. Once the poo is out he then gets really upset and asks me to put it back (ie he wants it back up is bum!)Although he is still pooing at least once a day I am worried that this fear will progrerss and he will start holding it in for longer
2: He screams and shouts when they take him to the toilet at nursery. He will hold in his wees and poos all morning and even through his lunchtime nap even if they put him in a nappy. Eeventually he ends up doing little leaks in his pants during the afternoon but no proper full sized wees, so we end up getting him home only for him to go straight to the loo and doing a really big wee. They have tried taking him with the other children / stickers etc but he just hates the idea of going there. He is fine at his grandparents and while we out of the house together he will say he needs to wee then hold on until we get him to a loo when he wil happily wee in a strange toilet.
Any ideas please???
