Wasn't initially interested in cloth nappies but just realised I can buy reuseables for the cost of around six weeks disposable supply, and my LO is still only 10 weeks, so seems like it could work nicely for us. Little lamb are by far the most cost effective, so will be buying them, but can't decide between the one size pocket nappy and the bamboo shaped.
I am leaning towards the pocket nappies because they look less bulky and as we will mostly be using them once LO is six months this could be an advantage when he becomes more mobile. However, if they are likely to leak I would prefer to stick to bamboo.
Am buying for use once we return to Egypt so the long drying time for the bamboo nappies isn't an issue. LO is fairly short but wide round the middle.
Also, in terms of how many are needed for the pocket nappies, is it possible to just change the bamboo pads and fleece liner if the nappy isn't too wet? I was thinking of just buying ten nappies but stocking up on extra liners and pads. Is this practical?
Any thoughts/experiences/observations gratefully received.
