I overheard party girl's mum saying to new boy's mum "everyone is coming to the party". Feeling very hurt on dds behalf. Wwyd ? Would you speak to the mum?

Would it be worth asking the teacher if there are any issues with your dd and the birthday child? When they are so little, our teachers are usually involved in ensuring invitations are handed out properly so maybe the teacher will know a) if your dd is invited but has misplaced the invitation b) if there is a reason why your dd wouldn't be invited. Of course, it depends on how approachable your dd's teacher is!

It's such an upsetting thing to think your child has been left out - you could discretely ask the teacher or another Mum if you have one who is a close enough friend, but ultimately, this is one of those not so nice things about school you have to deal with occasionally.
