new born - is this too much sleep?

i put ds who is 13wks to bed between 8-9pm and he wakes up for feed when i get up with ds at around 7-8am. Before he was 6wks he would have 2 feeds at night midnight and 4am but this routine has changed to not getting up at all. He feeds loads in the day which is lovely as we have had great night sleeps! is this ok? He does not cry for feeds but when he does its the first thing i do.
So is this a good or bad thing?

Sounds to me like you're doing brilliantly. A 13 week old is really a newborn anymore and sleeping through the night can occur at this age to the lucky few

goog thing good thing good thing.

no such thing as too much sleep.

sorry should read 'isn't really a newborn'

i think you're probably ok. My ds was breastfed and slept through from 12 weeks. some babies just do!

Dunnyjo · 09/08/2006 14:49

thanks for replies, i am glad this is fine as with my first ds i remember not seeing straight because i was so sleep deprived! it was awful its funny how the two are so completley different experiences.
