Calling out to mums with curly haired children...

Bathtime is becoming increasingly distressing for my DD Hmm

Her hair is long and very curly (she's only 2) I use kids shampoo and conditioner, then more conditioner, was out but then it's the brushing that's the ordeal, I use a tangle teezer.

She asks me not to do it, I have too but cries all way through "mummy it hurts, mummy no, stop it, please" it remains knotty and I know it must really hurt, breaks my heart.

Any tips??'

DD almost 3 has fine, thick, curly hair. Completely agree with the not washing frequently and getting it cut. DD's hair is best when it is shoulder length. If she wants it longer she can grow it when she is old enough to take care of it herself. She still gets plenty of compliments at this length.

I tend to wash it on a weekend morning when she isn't tired. Less chance of tantrums then.

I use sulphate free shampoo if it is really dirty, but otherwise I use just conditioner. YY to the Moroccan argan oil. I use it on mine too and it is amazing stuff. I also use a boar bristle brush and my fingers.

Well what a difference tonight was GrinGrinGrin

Bought a tangle tamer, wet hair tangle teezer, bee strong herbal essences, and dark & long hair conditioner and there was no tears at all and she's now plaited up in bed. Decided to just wash 2x weekly from now on

Thanks everyone xx
