Oooooh, just found a shop selling lots of real nappies and accessories. Managed to be very rstrained, but couldn't resist buying a fluffle.

Baby due in September and ds is well out of nappies so I can't try it out!!

Anyone use them? What do you think?

have just ordered some, but dont really know what they are like yet. Bamboozles are meant to be good. Where is the shop?

tassis · 01/08/2006 20:09

The shop's in Stirling, Central Scotland and is part of a cotton bottom laundering service. It was lovely to see lots of the products I'd only otherwise seen online.

I've actually heard pretty mixed reviews of bamboozles, they say they take an age to dry and that lovely soft feeling doesn't seem to last.

(keep stroking my fluffle. no one else like em??)

Personally I prefer bamboozles - found fluffles a bit synthetic. We live in a hard water area and the bamboozles have stayed lovely and soft so far .

Not tried fluffle but have One Life, Ella's House, Bamboozle and Kissaluvs. Bamboozle is definitely the best. Does take a little extra time to dry though. Mine are gorgeous and soft, but I do tumble dry and finish them off aired.

I like my fluffles, they look so cute. And Scottish, too!

FlameSparrow · 02/08/2006 08:15

I found that fluffles smelt stronger than any other nappy. I love bamboo though, so I am biased (mine have stayed soft)

oh well I only have the one so i'll see

was planning to wash it today, but it's raining so i'll wait...

have a whole set of tots 2s for when baby fits them, trying to get away with buying as little as possible until then.

loved my tots and they're still fluffy

Tots 2's can be used on a newborn, but will seem huuuuge! Even Tots 1's do at first.

I am a massive Tots fan, but am currently using terries on DS2 whilst he grows into his Tots a bit more. Might be worth a thought as they are v.cheap, easy to wash and dry

I've used fluffles and bamboozles. Fluffles are great as they dry really quick, look cute, are soft and snuggly and have a built in fleece liner. However they are very bulky and so I tend to use them more at night under a nightgown (green baby.co.uk - brilliant) also my DP doesn't like the way they feel as he has rougher hands and the microfibre can snag on them a bit I think- I've heard other people complain about this too although I love the feel of them. Bamboozles are brilliant too, mine stay soft -I line dry them and then finish them off in the dryer, they do take longer to dry than fluffles but less time than hemp nappies like ellas house or all in ones like motherease. They're also slimmer than fluffles or regular totsbots so they can fit under more outfits. That's my 2penceworth- hth - bear in mind I've only been doing this for a month though so I'm no expert.

littlepiggie · 06/08/2006 16:39

i have tried the one life ones, but found they leak east and looed bulky, so use disposables but would like to use real nappies.

squigglesmum · 06/08/2006 16:57

Well I love my fluffles! I started with Tots, then bought three each bamboozles and fluffles. Have since sold the bamboozles as they took soooo long to dry, but have bought a few more (completely unjustifiable) fluffles. Yes, they're bulky, but so absorbent and quick to dry. Under Motherease or Nature Baby (gorgeous patterns) wraps they're unbeatable.

IMO.
