Green, thready nappies

My 15 week old has been producing some khaki green nappies with what looks like thick threads in them - the threads look a bit like he's been eating bean sprouts! In between he's been having normal nappies and the rate of output is the same. He's breasted. He's just been diagnosed with thrush in his nappy area.

Is it possible the thrush is causing this or is it something else I should be worrying about?

Breastfed? Probably just not getting enough hind milk. Leave him on each boob for a bit longer and that should sort it.

Doesn't that happen when babies have banana?

Just what I was thinking, Russian.

Green, though, usually means they've been binge eating - has your baby been cluster feeding recently? Green nappies are normal. Wormy bits not so normal unless someone has been sneaking him banana...

I've heard the thing about the hind milk too. If you give him both sides at each feed perhaps swap back to the first side at the end to get a bit more of the hind milk?

hind milk and foremilk don't really work like that though... it's thought that the baby alters suction to get more watery or more fatty milk depending on their needs. However mega quantities of milk will cause pesto nappies, so cluster feeding/growth spurts are usually the culprit

Is he a bit snotty? Dd produced similar when snotty, or teething
