Hi am new to this and need help. Having purchased a few nappies I was all set to buy Bamboozles, but now cannot get nippa version. Am now very confused as found many more bamboo nappies but not sure what to go for. Any suggestions.

Hiya,

I think you may have had Wham-Bamboos from us but if not, or you still need advice, get in touch and I'll talk you through the options.

All the best,

I have Bamboozles and Wambamboo. Personally very pleased with both but the Wambamboo are slightly slimmer and I think a little cheaper and also come in different colours. Take about the same time to dry overall but both very very soft in comparison to non-bamboo. Hope this helps

I tried bamboozles and wam-bamboo (can you guess whose threads I'd been reading? ). Both good, but have gone for wam-bamboo as they're a much better fit on my chunky little baby buddha.

At Flame's recommendation I purchased a Wambamboo and it is indeed fabby . Great fit as it's got a bit of stretch in it and really soft. Slimmer than Bamboozles as well so better as a day nappy.

Haven't tried it at night yet though as not convinced it is as absorbent as my Bamboozles (it's quicker to dry).

I use a wbb plus a mother of eden booster for night, and it is fine

loopylou49 · 19/08/2006 14:47

WIth regards to wambamboo- are they def a slimmer fit than bamboozle? Might have to invest in one.

Wham-Bamboos are slimmer than Bamboozles IF the booster is removed.

With the booster in the nappy, they are the same as the Bamboozle with the soaker in place. You can get extra boosters here .

Each is as absorbant as the other, and each is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

Each takes longer to dry than any other nappy fabric because they are so much more absorbant, so retain more water in the wash. They both stay soft if line dried, unlike cotton or hemp.

For a really slim nappy, try Swaddlebees Pocket Nappies (click here) - but NOT overnight and NOT for heavy wetters - contact me before buying to go through some details to ensure they're right. However I can't recommend them highly enough as an ultra slimline, easy to use toddler daytime nappy which also doubles as a pull up and training pant.

I personally think wambamboos are a bit slimmer than bamboozles even with the booster in.

Swaddlebees pockets are terrible in my opinion - always, always leaked and the one I had lost a popper after only a couple of months. My least favorite nappy of all I've tried.

Just goes to show, I guess, that different nappies suit different babies.

makesachange · 19/08/2006 21:27

Absolutely - different nappies suit different people. Regarding losing a popper on a Swaddlebees pocket - I have to say I've never come across this and the retailer should have replaced it FOC (the manufacturer would have replaced it to the retailer without question). Bad luck there - they are usually excellent quality and if it's not too late I would go back for a replacement. Even if you're not using it now, it may work if you have another baby, or if not it's then got resale value. If you have a problem with the retailer let me know and I'll try to help by dealing with the manufacturer for you.

Regarding the leaking, Swaddlebees pockets are only suitable for light and medium wetters and definately NOT heavy wetters. They are best used with two boosters of the size smaller than the nappy (eg two medium boosters in a large nappy).

For the babies they work for the parents rave about them. Unfortunately, they are often sold without enough advice given (or follow up support) and for the wrong baby they just don't work.
