Dd's 3.5 now but at that age she ate what we ate, still does, with the odd fish fingers and mash thrown in when we were having a take away Grin

This week we've had beef casserole, home made goujons, chorizo and spaghetti, home made pizza.

Ds1 basically existed on air at that age, he refused so many things including all fruit, most vegetables and most meat Hmm. He's a bit better now at 3.5, more willing to try a bite of something new. Eating lunch at preschool with other children helped I think, seeing what others like.

We've always done the same as previous poster - he has what we have more or less. Up to him how much he chose to eat. He never seemed to actually starve.

Mine is 3y 2m. But from being around 18 months, ate just what we ate, unless it was particularly spicy.

Usually what we're eating, but sometimes fish fingers, spaghetti hoops, pasta with cheese sauce. Luckily both my DDs really like fruit and veg so she always has plenty of that as well.

we are lucky, our 2.6yr old will eat most things, he used to love macaroni cheese, now will tolerate it, not keen on things made with lamb mince, e.g shepherd pie or spaghetti bolognese but again will eat it. he likes salmon and 'chips' (potatoes cut up par boiled and roasted in a tiny bit of oil for 30/40 minutes, he likes pizza, fishfingers sausages, omlettes jacket potatoesand for lunches or lighter meals enjoys a buffet style meal of bread cheese ham houmous vegetable sticks, has slightly bizarre love of olives and particularly likes a gentle version we do of Thai green curry, with chicken lime fish sauce coriander and coconut cream. i took out the chilli as dh didn't like it hot!

Hard age, some times it will be a sandwich, other days they will eat lots.

Scrambled egg with peas and toast.
Pasta with mince sauce
Cheese cubes
Cucumber (try with skin cut off)
Breadsticks
Tuna sandwiches
Fish fingers, sweetcorn, chips.
Rice with peas and chicken.
Cakes, biscuits - especially those they have helped make.
Custard, icecream
Bread, croissants, brioche

Tips:
Try putting food in different small pots, so they help themselves.
Do not be fussy about them putting things on plate and eating from there, spoon in each pot and if they want to eat just all the peas, then let them. No pots use a small drinking glass.
Use air tight boxes for leftovers, reuse in next meal / adults meals.
Small quantities - look at size of their fist, stomach is about that size, it is not that big.
Cut things into shapes - some like squares, some triangles, some will change their mind constantly!
